The British 1947 partition of India is the bloodiest mass migration in all of world history, an event so violent that it is simply known as "The Partition." It is just one of countless horrific crimes committed by the British Imperial Empire that continues to manufacture violence, poverty, and oppression in India and Pakistan today. 

"Let them not be forgotten," but not because "they served India well." Let them not be forgotten because their wealth and stability is built off of a brutal colonial history.
